While operating a KVM, how can we make sure it is in a good condition? |
A: |
Follow the below steps to check:
- Plug in the power adaptor, and KVM will be turned on with a buzzer sound actively and channel 1 red LED on.
- Press the front panel button to select PC channel; then buzzer sound and LED will follow the selected channel.
- If it is RMA unit, please check the serial number and inside software version.

What is the best way to connect the KVM? |

Plug in KVM power adaptor firstly, and while KVM worked, connect the Console device and PC port sequentially. |

If the keyboard or mouse was halted and cannot work, how can we do? |
A: |
- Change channel from button, if not, then go step 5).
- Please make sure the device (K.B/Mouse) function is good.
- Check Console and PC port cables are fixed well and right.
- If KVM button select is good, then reconnect K/M device.
- Press the Reset button (inside the front panel) and test it.
- Release all cables, then power-up KVM again, and test it.

If some PC ports are halted and cannot work any more (or error), how can we do? |
A: |
- Reconnect the PC port cable and test whether the connection of keyboard/mouse cable is correct.
- If keyboard's error, press the Ctrl key several times and test it.
- Reboot that PC and test it.
- Press the Reset button (inside the front panel) and test it.
- Release all cables connection, power-up KVM again and reconnect all connection.

If the hot-key function doesn't work, how can we do? |
A: |
- Check keyboard LEDs, and flash in the hot-key mode
- If not, the KVM hot-key could be change to another one.
Please try another hot-key (Scroll Lock or Caps Lock).
- if LEDs was flashed, please check the hot-key command and system (KVM) connection and make sure the hot-key function was available to execute.
(Ex: Single PC call Scan, Non-OSD model call OSD Menu)
Change the keyboard and test it again.
